Improves dot pattern of all printers

Overview of New Hot Features

  • Evolution is the ideal match for Symphonic Pigment Series Inks. Together they take full advantage of each others properties, producing extremely high saturation, the sharpest detailing, finest dot pattern, and superb shadow detail. Widest Gamut - No BS!!!

  • So what sets this Rip apart from all the others?

  • Evolution produces an extremely fine dot pattern at 1440 x 720  in Bidirectional mode that compares to Epson's driver at 2880.

  • Evolution is designed for beginners and experienced users. Work in automatic mode or switch to control each aspect:
                              Variable Dot control
                              Primary Inks
                              Secondary Inks
                              Total Inks
                              Crossover Points
                              Color Profile
                              Gray  Scale

  • While this version is aimed at Fine Art and Photographic Printing, there are different versions of Evolution optimized for Signage, Display, and Textile.

  • Evolution is based on a 16 bit technology which offers numerous benefits for precise printing. Keep your camera images in 16 bit and print them without any loss.

  • Evolution is packed with control features for the advanced user. It allows the user to control the blend of the dot sizes. You can remove the large Black dots if applicable which in turn allows the color inks to reach
higher limits while making the dot pattern less visible.

  • Evolution Rip Server runs on a PC under OS, 2000, XP, and Vista. The Layout function runs on PC and Mac and can be placed on multiple design stations all sending files to the server. You can create multiple layout while you are printing and send them to print. They will automatically print as each layout is finished printing.

          Super New Hot Features:

  • Its new profiling setup allows for dual profiles. One for Color and one for gray scale. The significance of this, is you can use one profile designed for wider gamut, with less black and more use of color channels, while
at the same time utilizing the Lut table of a ideal gray scale profile
. Greater information is explained in Superior Giclée Printing Technology.
Because Black and White printing has become so important, this new feature is designed to produce a perfect gray scale with or without the use of Light Black inks.

  • This new gray blend feature allows the rip the ability to print a color and black and white images together.

  • Within software is a gray scale re-balancing feature insuring perfect scaling. Thus, it possible for different or same printers to print alike no matter where they are as long as they are using the same ink and media.

A rip may not be understood by all. So let's define its basics.

A rip has basically two functions:
To control ink usage and to produce the proper ink density scaling from light to dark.
The other function is its layout. Rips usually offer sizing, positioning, duplicating, and may more features.

So what sets this Rip apart from all the others?

Evolution is packed with controls and features designed to produce the finest dot, the richest color and the most productive printing. It is user friendly. Drop one or more images into the layout and hit the print botton. It uses les resorces than Photoshop. All ersions are full featured, even the lowest priced version.

Internal controls

Evolution allows you more controls than any other Rip. It offers you control of every channel, blending of light and dark inks, control of dot size.

The below illustration on the right demonstrates how you can blend light colors into dark colors. The Change Blend button allows you to change the relationship between light and dark inks. You can change the combination until you get the kind of curve blend you want. The internal math will calculate the correct relationship as you change the percentage for light color blending percentage. For instance: If you do not want too much light color into the dark you can create a relationship as shown below, but if you want more light ink to increase the smoothen of finer dots on revealing papers.
Below is a setup for the Epson 9800 using two Blacks, Matte and Gloss. Because Evolution controls every channel independently we created a set up where 7 channels are automatically configured leaving out the eighth channel. Matte Black in this setup is usually placed in the Lt Lt Black Slot. The software chooses the Photo Black channel and cuts out the eight channel in this configuration. When choosing Pigment Matte Black it cuts out the Photo Black and uses the Lt Lt Black channel instead. Look at the Channel setup below. It shows how the light  are linked to the primary colors.
