Epson New Printers 7900/9900
10 COLOR PRINTERS

There are a new series of printers that have come forth from the major OEM  manufacturers, Epson, Canon, HP, Roland through a third party and now Epson joining the group. To us this is an exciting forward step in the inkjet printing technology. I personally, have been waiting to see Epson produce a multi-channel printer for several years. Let's discuss what the these companies have to offer.

The OEM ink structure:

When we saw samples of HP prints they we rich in Blues and Weak in Reds. Canon prints were rich in Green and week in deep reds. Roland using the older set of ink offered good greens also and poor reds. Into this arena comes Epson with a version of Roland's 12 color setup, but only using 11 colors with Orange and Green. Their new color set should offer a wider range of color and fill the weakness in their greens. The inks chosen by each of these companies in general are very similar. For instance they are all using the same blue shade Green, Blue shade Cyan,  and Orange. the interesting element is the Choice Epson and Canon made on their new Magenta. Matter of fact, Roland who started Hexachrome dropped it for years and now all of a sudden hexachrome is back from Epson. Why after all these years? I will let you think about it.

The OEM Software:

Their software running these printers allows you to make a RGB profile, but unless you have a third party Rip that can handle 12 colors you will be making only a RGB profile through a predetermined multi-channel setup. This means that the true potential of the paper media you are using may not be reached. Most third party software companies are weak in multi-channelinnovativetechnology and therefore the full potential may not be reached anyway. The only reason I make that claim is that there has not been many areas of printing where multi-channel  has been promoted.

The Symphonic Printing Solution

Piezo print head technology offers advantages in the making of specialty inks for fabric, wall paper, signage, high pressure laminate, and of course fine art printing. Our company has worked with a number of chemical companies and Beta testers for over 3 years in the study of ink and software for not just 12 colors, but for over 16 spot colors. If you look at our set of 12 color inks from our menu you will see an inovative dynamic ink set and if you ask our users what they think about our Symphony 12 color I know you will find yourself drawn into the wonders of this world of color. I was. It is not the same as the OEM companies have produced. We are not just looking at the bottom line of expense in production and the profitability alone, but the advancement in technololgy solving a need. When we looked and could not find the right shade of a pigment color, we made it.We have been making multi-channel inks  and software for the fabric printing field and for many years. Over three years ago we started a new approach to 8-channel printing with Reds, Blues, and or Lime Green. Each of our color values that we created is  made at our factory in the US. You can see this ink set and software from our menu. When we make an ink we evaluate the richness, the brilliance, the longevity, and how it will effect the image when mixed together as a pallet of color handled by a profile. Depth of color and Brilliance is what makes a picture come alive. We also feel that most of the sophisticated printing is performed on art media that has less reflectivity than gloss and therefore, the ink must play a significant roll. Our Symphonic Evolution software was designed to enhance and control the image from every aspect from dot pattern to color saturation. This is where the combination of the two play an integral roll. They are as good as it gets. If you are ready for Multi-channel give us a call.
