Computer Utilities to Optimize Performance
For the most part we all have had computer problems. While I do not profess to be a computer guru, I have found some very good software utilities that I would like to share with. The Software listed is mainly for the PC. We will be researching Mac Tools as well. We have had clients who have had issues with their computer while trying to load our Software. The Software below is just some of the utilities available. I hope that this information can be of help to you as it was for our Company.

Recently I enjoyed the frustration of my main computer acting up. I felt like taking it and throwing it out the window, when I took a deep breathe and called a retired IBM software expert. Together we put our heads together and repaired it. I have always been carefully to set up temperature sensing of my CPU's. A failure of the fans to cool the CPU could lead to the death of the computer. There are some motherboard companies that offer Sensing and control features. There is one software that I have used for a number of years. It is designed to clone a hard drive bit for bit allowing you to make a clone of your Main drive. We usually clone the drive after any new install of software or any important information has been entered. The drive is placed outside the computer carefully. The intention is to use the drive should the other dye or become corrupted. The Software is from Aconis called True Image. It has many other useful features.
I then looked into a number of different utilities that may be of use to you.
Below are some of the software I would recommend:
Registry Software:
There are numerous Registry Cleaners and when they perform well your computer will perform better, but if you delete certain elements, your computer may not perform correctly any more. There are so many PC software packages on the market for what I call computer heath, that it can be overwhelming. The most problematic of them, can be the ones that profess to fix your Registry. While they can remove numerous junk they can also remove significant files. Remember that overtime it cleans it builds a undo. After cleaning make sure you have check your computer applications to see that they are running well.
Among the software available for Registry Optimizing is Advance System Optimizer, which is well beyond just a Registry Cleaner. Below is a link to getting more information and ordering it. Driver detective is most usefull when you need to know if your drivers are up to date or a device does not perform because of a missing driver. Driver Detective is not expensive. Here is the link

Hot CPU Tester Pro4:
If you think that your CPU or Memory may be defective, this is a great tool to check it. This lite version is Free. Download link Hot CPU Tester Pro4
Core Temperature:
If you want to keep an eye on the temperature of your CPU's and the voltages this is a great free utilitiy. Core Temp download Core Temp 32 and Core temp 64.
SSW Diagnostics:
If you want to keep an eye on whether you have the latest updates. This is a great utility. You can download it from this link.

SeaTools by Seagate:
If you want to test your hard drive this is a freeware utility that can help you. Here is the link to download it: SeaTools
Advance System Optimizer:
Here is another utility part of Advanced System Organizer that can give you information on Hard Drive Performance. Health operation can set the computer to test the hard drive on reboot.
Acronis True Image:
If you want toa backup Clone hard drive, this Software is a no brainer. When I first looked around for a product that could backup my main drive, I tried different ones and then found True Image. I contacted the company and they said, "try it, it works." It does. You can attach a hard drive via USB and make your clone. Other backup systems are usefull, but when a hard drive fails, you need a replacement and if you set up your main drive on a removeable draw, it takes no more than a few minutes to replace the drive and reboot.
